My artistic journey through 1991-2011 has changed and evolved. Other
than my studio practice, I have engaged in making videos and
installations and the only thread of continuity through all my
meanderings is in the choice of a voice, one that is appropriate to the
expression of my immediate concerns as a socially conscious being.
The satire inherent in my work and my eclectic interests oblige me
to incorporate seemingly disparate elements. The use of text and
elements of advertising, popular imagery and the comic book has become
more than just visual inputs. And, more important, I continuously try to
explore not only the possibilities that all of these exercises (along
with my past experiences) offer me, but also monitor how these could
converge as an idiom accommodating the various needs of my aesthetic,
narrative and social concerns.
